The Model 23D Electrical Stability Tester is an accurate, compact and portable instrument that measures the relative electrical strength of emulsions having a continuous oil phase. It is a self-contained unit consisting of a meter and probe, and operates on four 9-volt batteries. The instrument features a digital readout and sinusoidal output waveform for greater accuracy. Pushdown automatic ramping makes the unit simple to operate and provides repeatable results. Calibration resistors are supplied with each instrument to verify the accuracy and linearity of the unit. The tester is contained in a water-tight carrying case, and fully conforms to American Petroleum Institute API Recommended Practice 13 B-2.
